Mamook (Activity Center)

In 1985, we opened an internally financed candle-making workshop to provide work for our core members who have little or no government funding to support their need for vocational expression. We expanded this in 1994 and included two people from the wider community.

The Activity Center produces hand made candles and cards.  The day program supports the Family Worker Kitchen by helping to prepare dinner once a week.

Mamook is supported by donations from generous benefactors and invaluable support from the Lutheran and the Jesuit Volunteer Corps for providing with volunteers each year and to whom we are very grateful.
